Lola Bakery — a pastry shop from Brooklyn, New York — turned to RB&K to craft a visual identity that would reflect their playful character, homespun products, and steer away from being perceived as yet another bakery.

RB&K came up with a fictional character — Whooooooopie — based on the cake Lola Bakery is best well known for, their Whoopie pie. Whooooooopie became the basis of the logo, and an entire communications concept for Lola Bakery's public relations strategy. The title typefont was created to reflect the handcrafted nature of Lola Bakery's baked goods.
